At the center of the Impact GX are eight buttons and a large potentiometer. When used with Nektar DAW Integration, these controls allow you to operate your DAW directly from the Impact GX, without having to reach for the mouse.

The Impact GX also offers dedicated performance controls. Four LED buttons let you quickly shift the keyboard up or down by octave or transpose it. The LEDs change color to indicate the set interval or octave. The transpose function can also be reassigned to switch MIDI channels or send MIDI program changes.

The Impact GX features a 49-note, full-size, velocity-sensitive keyboard, so you can start making music in seconds. Just plug in the included MIDI cable, and your operating system, whether Windows, macOS, or iOS, takes care of the rest. You can choose from 4 velocity curves (plus 3 fixed) to adjust the keyboard to your playing style. The keybed is calibrated for dynamic and expressive performance, suitable for all styles of music.
